Hm. Well. Yes.

Episode 2X13.

Hm.

I didn't NOT like this episode. And I did LIKE it. But I have issues.

I mean, yes. I have ISSUES. LOL. And being raised Catholic, some of those issues are, well, yeah. So:

1) MAGIC FINGERS!!! - Heee. And, yeah...Sam's face when Dean's enjoying the pleasures of the quarters. Awkward. And special.

last night I was kind of MEH about it all. Every point you made is are the same points I thought about.
I watched it again today and it's grown on me, I kind of feel like they were trying too hard to tie up ends. And the end. I felt they could of left it with Dean being sad that Sam lost the faith he had. Cause even though Dean doesn't have that kind of faith I don't think he'd be happy to see Sam lose it.

Ok the quarter thing, That was funny. The look of longing he had while waiting for Sam...Cracked me up. LOL!
What killed me was Dean saying he's seen proof of evil, the ripping to shreds line, got me, it was there and was so very literal.... It was a quiet episode, not great but not bad.

Ooh! Yes...the rips ya to shreds line. I liked that, because it was just so very *nods* M-hm!

But I think that's also a good example of what felt unbalanced about the ep. Does this mean, now, we are to believe Dean feels it was God's will for him to be mawled by the YED??

Right, right...but at the end. The leap he makes. GOD'S WILL. And he has to see himself as a killer in some vein, in some light, otherwise there wouldn't be so much angst as canon ("The things I'm willing to do for you and Dad...") Know what I mean?

And his complete willingness, after Sam identifies the would be rapist..."You're not killin' anyone. I got this guy."

I'm just sayin'.

The flask. It surprised me a little, I'm not gonna lie. I like how you put it - sneaky drinking. My first thought was "Aw, Dean."

Yeah, I know...it seemed pretty, um...it seemed important. Because, hello, now Dean's carrying around a hip flask and taking nips when things get tuff? Oh, that can't be UNimportant, can it?

There's a lot of thinking to be done...posted some more of it after a convo last night with quellefromage, if you're interested.

I'm usually squeeing, but I still just don't know/can't explain how I feel about this one...guess I'll have to watch it again..LOL!

There was lots I loved but the ending didn't work for me either.

The leap of faith at the end? Felt artificial to me.

Yeah, I've read other people saying Dean's conclusion at the end didn't fit. I think Dean at least Dean would have softened on his position, but not have gone all the way to Sam's side.

I've stayed away from other's posts on this so far so I'm not sure what the concensus is, but, yeah...the end gave me some serious thinky trouble.
