You have probably heard lotsa hair oils and serums that you can use it in the day as a nourishing product or as a finishing product in the market but products that are specifically to be used in the night as an overnight repair serum are not commonly seen or heard. When I came across this Pantene Pro-V Overnight Miracle Repair Serum that claims to erase up to 6 months of damage on drugstore.com and there was a coupon for an additional $2 off for every 2 bottles purchased, without hesitation, I added 2 quantity of this product into the cart.
*I got this off drugstore.com for US$6.29 per bottle before the coupon was applied
Yup, it sounds like a typical sleeping mask where it is applied after the last step of your skin care regime but in this context, the hair serum is applied onto your hair just before you hit the sack.
This product smells so sweet that it leaves your hair smelling really sweet after applying the product!
Housed in an opaque plastic bottle with a pump dispenser, it dispenses a pretty decent amount of product.
One pump gives you this much of product and though my hair isn't very long, it is just slightly past my shoulders, I use about 2 pumps of the product as my hair is extremely damaged.
The product is a gel-like texture but when you apply it on your hair, it kinda stiffen up that when I comb it through, I find that it tucks at my hair and causing a couple strands of hair to fall. I read online that it is not uncommon though. Most users of this overnight hair serum experienced the same hair fall too. Though I do not appreciate that but it definitely made my hair softer in the morning! I do not see a significant hair loss, just a couple strands but if you are experiencing hair loss problems or one that has thin hair, you might want to skip this.
I am on the fence about this product. I like how soft it makes my hair in the morning but hate how it'll cause a couple of strands of hair to be detached from my head each time I use it. And so, for now, I will only concentrate it on the ends of my hair and do not comb it after applying. Works fine for now without having to lose strands of hair. I do feel it is working especially on my dry almost fried ends.
