Shiseido Maquillage Lasting Stick Foundation & Lasting Powdery Foundation

Shiseido Singapore has generously sponsored some products for reviews again.
*A huge Thank you to Mag who collected my package on my behalf due to work commitments.

Each blogger was given the new Maquillage Lasting Stick Foundation UV, Limited Edition packaging of the new Lasting Powdery UV EX Foundation and 5 mini Maquillage Nail Varnishes for review purposes.
*I'll review the mini nail varnishes in another post with swatches.

The Lasting Stick Foundation UV is described as:

"A stick foundation that smoothes away pores. Glides on and melts into your skin to conceal pores and uneven patches and instantly create a smooth, glowing finish that stays resistant to sweat and sebum and looks fresh for hours."

Its my first time trying out a stick foundation. I own the Stila stick foundation but its a little too fair for me so I've not really tried it.

With an SPF of 24, its pretty sufficient for those who sits in the office.

The sleek fnger-print magnet packaging of the foundation sick is similar to the Glossy Perfect Rouge.

My shade is OC20 which is a pretty good match for my NC25 skin tone.

The foundation stick rolled all the way up. It doesn't look like alot of product yes?

But looking at its diameter, its a pretty huge amount of product actually because you really do not need alot of product.

This is how I apply this stick foundation:
1) I draw 2 lines on my forehead, 2 lines on each cheek and one line across my chin.
2) Spray some MAC Fix+ on a cosmetic sponge to dampen the sponge (not soaking wet but just damp)
3) Blend the streaks of foundation out with the dampen sponge.

Depending on the coverage you require, you can add more streaks of foundation if you require if. I do not need alot of coverage but I do need some concealing so I'll conceal my under eye and some spots here and there before setting it with a powder.

I have admit with alot of raves about this stick foundation. Upon application, my skin is so flawless and looking reallllllllllly great! On the first day I tried this stick foundation to work, my colleague came over to asked what I was using as my foundation looked really good that day. Together with the fix+ that I've used to dampen the sponge to blend the foundation, my face was glowing with radiant!

Sadly, if there's something I don't like about the product is its oil control. It was really moisturizing that within 4 hours, my face started becoming shiny which is not from the glow but from the oil secretion.

I really really adore the finish of the stick foundation but wished oil control was much better.

I reckon this will suit those with dry to normal skin.

Despite the fact its really moisturizing for me, I'm still loving it and will still use it. LOL

This is the LE packaging of the original packaging that can be seen here.

New powedery foundation. Stay oil-free for hours.

"Stay oil-free and looking fresh longer. The groundbreaking oil-absorbent gel powder keeps sebum under control, creating a smooth matte finish that covers pores and uneven patches creating a look that stays perfect for hours."

There isn't an ingredient list in English for the Stick foundation, only for this Lasting Powdery Foundation.

Just like the stick foundation, I am an OC20 for this powdery foundation.

This comes with an SPF of 22 PA++, just short of 2 from the Stick Foundation but its still sufficient for office ladies.

The refill comes with its own plastic casing, unlike other 2-way cake refills that comes just with the pan.

As its not a magnetic pan, when its fitted into the pan space, the pan falls out when you turn the compact right-side down. If you're afraid of the pan falling out when you're touching up in public, you might want to stick a double sided tape on the underside of the refill pan.

Well, this 2-way cake isn't as moisturizing as the stick foundation. I applied the powder foundation with a flat top powder brush (my favourite ELF Studio Powder Brush) and unlike the ZA 2-way foundation, this Lasting Powdery Foundation doesn't cake up even if you buff on a thicker layer.

Though the oil control of this powdery foundation is better than the stick foundation but comparing to its finish, I personally prefer the stick foundation over this.

Just like the highly raved ZA 2-way foundation, this Lasting Powdery Foundation is a fuss free powder foundation that can be easily applied on the go with the attached sponge for fuller coverage or with a powder brush for a light even coverage.

Since I prefer the finish of the stick foundation and oil control of the powdery foundation, I tried pairing them up but sadly the powdery foundation had the glow and radiant of the stick foundation hidden. I still prefer wearing the stick foundation on its own for a really nice radiant glow with a flawless finish!

This is totally irrelevant but I realized that my NOTW for last week matches the LE casing! LOL
*For those who are interested to know what polish I had on, its the Orly Quintessential Crimson.

Thank you Shiseido Singapore for this great opportunity to try these wonderful new products from Maquillage!
