Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part 1)

Watched the movie on Sunday, managed to avoid most of the crazy crowds. I keep forgetting to mention, due to a certain shocking Twlight-esque scene - but I really liked the animation for the Tale of the Three Brothers. And the scenery for this installment was spectacular; would've liked to have been traveling with the crew filming this ( Read more... )

I went Saturday night. Theater was fairly full, but it wasn't packed. I wonder if the crazy crowds came and went with the midnight show.

Twilight-esque? You mean the Harmony moment? But it's in the book. XD

The animation for the Three Brothers story was probably the best thing in the movie. =)

Apparently the movie is ranked 6th in opening weekend revenues. Which sounds impressive, but then you realize that's after Iron Man 2. Don't know if they account for inflation and such, either.

The scandalous hallucination bit Ron saw. Hahah, was that in the book? Need to re-read.

Yeah, I don't know either. I'll check on that sometime.

Yessss ... it was indeed in the book. XD I specifically remember because one of the first thoughts in my head was "Does that mean Emma Watson has to kiss both of them?" Haha. Apparently so. Though I don't recall if the hallucinations were naked in the book. Emma Watson said they told her the day before "oh, by the way, you're both going to be topless and in silver paint". XD And yet, despite that, she said it was less nerve racking kissing Dan Radciffe than Rupert Grint 'cause Dan was so chatty and joked around about it.
