This plot kept expanding. When I realized it couldn't be completed prior to challenge due date, I decided to post what I consider to be chapter one (~ 2700 words) My intention is to submit the completed version at Journeystory site. Thank goodness I'm not a guy, because I'd have a serious case of Blue Balls right now. And thank goodness this is going to continue!! I'm also thrilled that you chose to include two men among the prostitutes; that little bit of harsh realism was quite enticing. If I came to Miss Kiva's I'd definitely pick Riley. Or TJ. Or Vanessa. Or Barnes. Maybe even Eli. ;-)

Men don't get much use but on occasion the women of Destiny need something for the 'vapors' as it was called then. Rather than a wooden shaft or archaic vibrator, live is better.

Definitely looking forward to more of this. It's cool and quite hot! :)

(And LJ is being REALLY annoying. Looks like it's done the same to yours as mine, and put random hard returns in.) I ended up having to go in and post it in html which meant I had to go and manually format it again, grr!)

Yeah, that's exactly how LJ was acting when I posted. Pain in the BUTT. I don't know HTML but I'm being dragged to it by LJ just to get things posted the way I want.

Cool idea, but I'm a fan of Westerns, and why not made better with SGU characters. Looking forward to the rest of this when it gets finished.

Thanks very much for your kind words. I'm excited to finish this as well. I devoured Louis L'Amour as a kid. I've read a very select few of romantic westerns (ie.. bodice rippers). I'm very picky about those romps.

I like twisting these SGU characters out of their canon norm. Matt & Chloe are delightful bad seeds. Others, I've just broadened their existing bad souls to suit the genre.

I think it's the new LJ formatting - the posting page has changed, too. I just tried for two days to post something, and nothing turned out the way it usually does even though I'm using the exact same coding. I think it may have to do something with increased auto-formatting. When you're in html mode, there's a check box where you can turn off auto-formatting. It doesn't save it, though, so every time you switch you need to check and make sure the bock is still checked. I have no idea what it all means - I sort of stumbled upon it through trial and (mostly) error.
