First-she's gorgeous and you can't take your eyes of of her!!! She was also very sweet. She talked about e-publishing not being a negative. A book, in any form is going to be about the content. She also said that technology elevates the publishing business in other positive ways. She talked about constructing a good pitch (all three editors did). She gave three examples of books that she's done- THE CLOCKWORK THREE, THE GREAT WALL OF LUCY WU, ASHES, ASHES.
I've seen her in videos before and she does look very gorgeous! I can't wait to meet her sometime. I meant to say - Lisa is my editor at Scholastic, too - that's why I was so curious. Sorry about that! :-)I would love to get to SCBWI NY sometime . . . but I am very far away. Have you ever done the LA one? How do they compare?
You lucky girl-she seems fantastic! I haven't done LA but I'm going this year. Sooooo excited! Are you going to LA? From what I hear LA is more creative and NY focuses more on the business side of the house. I've always had a great time in NY. I'm just 60 miles north of NYC so its easy for me to get there.
I was gaga-for sure. She also talked about several of her other books and every story of how she came to write the book was personal, interesting, funny and usually touching. It was so cool. Thanks for checking out the blog Christine. :o)
