the captain is a flirt, shamelessly so, charming everyone on his 500 person ship (and everyone outside it) with his smile and bright blues eyes, leaving sulu to watch, to fantasize about brandishing his katana and forcing every single one of them away from what is his , even if only in his dreams.

they tried, they really tried, thought they could go out and make it all, "we finally found time to hang out!" and it would be easy as pie, except they got pie, with all the extras on top, and "seriously, archie, you can't sit there with chocolate whipped cream on your lips and expect me to be able to resist!"

it's actually hilarious, watching archie try to fix the light switch, attempting to fit a flathead driver into a phillips screw, his face scrunching into a pout and okay, maybe cook should tell him that all he has to do is go down and flip the circuit that blew when cook put in too-strong light bulbs, but he'd much rather keep handing him useless tools and kissing that pout, at least for now.
