I got to meet Michael Grecco. He gave a lecture, and the event was sponsored by the Advertising Photographers of America so it wasn't just students but still rather intimate. I got an assignment in Quality of Light to do a light painting. Basically you need a shutter that will stay open for at least 30 seconds or more. If you have a bulb setting you need a way to lock the shutter with a lockable shutter release cord - I don't recommend having someone hold it down for you because they will eventually shake the camera.
