I present to you The Axel Boys Quartet version of Scatman John's Scatman covered in an easy lounge style. They've treated other eurodance songs in the same style such as Barbie Girl and Dub-I-Dub. They are awesome, and you will be wowed by how well it is done ( Read more... )

Oh god, SNSD. I had a friend who used to make fun of them and say Gee was a bad song, then she ended up buying all their albums+photobooks, never shut up about them to me and my other friend, and ended up starting some SNSD forum and lyric site and ignoring us. And just as I was starting to like K-Pop, she just... argh. Too much. So I feel you on the whole "I liked it until everyone shoved it in my face" thing.

Kpop fans seem to be completely over the top like you don't believe. Like, Korean netizens and overseas k-pop fans are genuinely scary how they have to completely support their group or whatever. :| I mean, you've got creepy fans for jpop singers but like... not as extreme as the kpop fans are.

Yeah, those netizens are freakin' terrifying. Like that time I heard there were some girls sending letters with menstrual blood to some poor guys from some band, I just... ughrgughh.

LOL, I loved SNSD's first album. I love that kind of music in general, though - as far as I can see, they're a Korean equivalent of the Hello Project groups. And wait, they have other albums? *wikis* Hey, one of them has the same name as the checker at Bancorp! ...Ooh, one more album and a couple of minis! I must hit up a kpop comm for them.

Sorry, I know that's probably not what you want to hear. XD But as you and itakofying pointed out, I also haven't had them shoved down my throat. That makes anything a million times more annoying (*cough* Twilight)

Yeah, I can totally understand where you're coming from since you took the active choice to listen to them and stuff. People were seriously saying to me "YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON A MASSIVE CHUNK OF YOUR LIFE IF YOU DON'T LIKE SNSD." and I was just like "... whatever."

Ugh, no wonder you're sick of the sight of them.

I'm kind of glad to see someone else doesn't like SNSD, all my friends go on and on about them and I just really don't care for them at all. I'm not into Kpop but what I've heard/seen reminds me of American music, so why get into KPop when I could turn on the radio or TV and listen to the same stuff. I dunno.

Yeah, there's that too. I've noticed that kpop love their American producers. I mean, you get some of that in Japan but not to the extent that kpop does. @_@ I mean that Run Devil Run song was a Kesha song originally for crying out loud - that says a lot!

Except you actually picked one of the better songs since Gee. Run Devil Run is up there to me.

Though, I still prefer Ke$ha's Guide Version more ;o
