Stephen King, I hearts you.

"... The real difference is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good."

sarah_the_crab originally posted this and I googled the actual link. This then gave me this particular link in the Guardian. The funniest bit in the entire article has to be.

Meyer's fans have rushed to her defence. "Steven [sic ( Read more... )

I wish I had a better LMFAO icon. But still, I am terribly amused as well.

I know, you're awesome. I have to say that you're probably the best example of a Twilight fan I've ever seen about.

Well, now they've embarrassed themselves in a newspaper article.

I mean as big of a fangirl I am of the books, I at least have a brain to say Smeyer doesn't have shit on King. Srsly, Dark Tower series, best ever. Have you seen the Graphic novels for them, it is orgasmic..Uhem.

Anyways, These fans are just nuts. I bought the DVD and watched the comic-con part of the DVD and nearly spewed on myself. It was just so ...urrrg.

I mean you can be a fan of things, but these girls are so in la la land. I mean they even made up some ridiculous Cullen Religion which is like, WUT.

I never even knew that there was a graphic novel for it. o_o I'll have to look it up.

The Twilight thing is getting ridiculous. I hope some of those fans grow up someday and be horribly embarrassed in front of their children or something like that, hahaha

Oh yes! There are 2 hardcover collections out so far. I found out the first one about a year ago when we went to Free Comic Book day and they had these amazing art bookmarks and I was like..Whaaaat.

I only have the first collection, but the art is just breathtaking(It mainly follows the story of Wizard and glass I think the 2nd continues on that). I really need to stop procrastinating and grab the 2nd book. Oh..I was just checking wikipedia and the Chapters site and I guess the 3rd Hardcover is coming out this month! Oh wow;; Guess I really need to stop procrastinating then.

But the wiki link for the first book is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Tower:_The_Gunslinger_Born

It links to the other 2 books, Long Road Home and Treachery.

But yeah, I mean I know the younger fans will probably grow out of it. It was like me when I was young and was all "omfg spice girls" and now I just hang my head in shame. Srsly what was I thinking : ( ... )

Woops, Checking again on Wiki. I found the main DT comics page, instead of just linking to the first books.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Tower_(comics)

Looks like there is going to be 2 more "series" of comics after the first 3, so 2 more HC basically covering W&G.
