What to do with metal bobbin lace?

So, I've gotten about 25" or so, and debating if I want to do a whole yard or more of it, or just end it soonish ( Read more... )

Could you use the lace around a coif? As to washing, you could hand wash it.

I think I'd want a wider lace to do for a hat band, but I'll put that on the to-do list as I'll be making a new hat that will need a band. Thank you.

I was thinking more the edge of a hat band. Dunno if I'd make one entirely of lace.

I'll have to make the lace from something that won't melt, so I'll need to test the threads first. I think the dmc stuff is polyester and will melt. It will also need lots of lace to make up, but this is a good idea. Thank you.

Ummm... how about a small table cover? Like a small square bit of pretty cloth you would use to cover up stained wood and set a pretty knickknack on?
