For Halloween I did actually make a quickie Halloween costume for my son. He wanted to be Link from Legend of Zelda (and the rest of that video game series), in Red. I totally forgot about AEDMo. CJ will enjoy it... and oh golly I need new curtains for my living room. I just don't have cash to spend on the fabric right now, and not enough stash to do the 3-4 panels I'd need. (they wrap a corner so I can cheat with spreading 1 over the corner if need be)

Do you have two fabrics that go together that could work for a two-color panel setup? I'm doing that with the valences I've planned for my dining room, since I wanted more color in that area.

Just not in the quantities I'd need...without looking really bad. I also fear straight lines, so doing it with the least amount of joins is a big thing on my list.

Don't be afraid of straight lines. Hell, my lines are never 100% straight. I will either follow the guidelines on my machine plate, or mark a chalk line that I try to follow best I can. Unless someone comes up really close to look at that seam, they can't tell.

And if you need to, when I bought my last machine, I also bought a seam guide sticker that extends the marks several inches onto the bed of the machine, which makes it a lot easier for the drapes I have done. I bought mine from Clotilde, but there may be other sources. If nothing else, tape down a short length of a tape measure or paper tape measure or something with the marks you need.
