I've debated for three months whether to be perfectly honest about what I've been through the last few months and I decided that it's not really that big of a secret (except that at first I was just so humiliated and depressed and trying not to think I was the world's worst writer ever).

Wow -- that's a lot of stress! I've heard a few stories like yours, and each time, I have to admit I wonder if I really want to be published or not...it's a toss-up right now! (But I'm still writing, just in case, hehe.)

This does sound hair-raising. But you know- you're still in a great position- you have produced a lot of material and your editor likes what you've got. I'll bet it all works out great and that finished novel becomes a super YA. Good luck!

I don't think any writing is ever wasted. I was just saying this same thing to another friend. You will find a way to use what you wrote and make it new and wonderful. Also, you are one hard working momma!

Yeah, with two babies as well as big kids underfoot, too. LOL! Trying to find the silver lining. Fingers crossed I can rewrite the tweener into a YA. :-)
