Yeah, one person sent a really dumb email prank, and I felt really bad because the pranker was (putatively) an adult and those who would be panicked by the news were adolescents (ranging in age from 13 - 18). I thought it was a tacky move, and I wasn't at all surprised by the person who did it. He didn't fess up til late in the evening -- I didn't respond because there's not many gracious ways of saying "Don't be a jackass."

It reminds me that this July 21, I am not going online because I know of some people in my circle who will want to give away the ending of the Harry Potter book, and spoil my surprise (two people I know for sure, as they did this with the last book...but I got the book a week late, so I couldn't maintain an internet moratorium that long.)

I love the icon that goes with this post.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I have given up on responding to them.

One of the AFD email ones I got yesterday was a Harry Potter related and I pretty much deleted it and all the responses to it and went on with life. I got spoiled before the last book and didn't want to even chance it this time around. I'll probably stay away from all things HP related (other than the movie) this July until I've read the book.

*grin* I like the icon too. Felt it fit pretty well with my feelings on the matter.

Hello. I'm conducting a short Harry Potter survey for a Statistics class, and would be grateful if you took a minute to take it. Thank you. :)
