While I need to do a real update on the total crap/shit that was my Friday and the not-so-bad that was my weekend, right now I have a request/question for the masses
( Read more... )
Personally, I've been absolutely drooooling over front-loading washers for a few years now! We don't really *need* one yet... but front-loaders are getting more common, and therefore cheaper.
The benefit: Up to 40% less water and energy use for each load. Can pack more in a load without a central agitator to take up space. Cleans your clothes far more efficiently *and* gently, by letting the water and soap fall through it, instead of tugging on wet (fragile) clothing with an agitator. And it's the only way to wash a quilt (a real concern for me!).
Anyway, my two cents. I looove front-loaders and want one myself. Dunno if it'll work for you!
You know, I've seen them, and never quite understood how they worked! :) I do like the idea of less water/energy use per wash though and they sound like they'd do a better job rinsing things, which is one of the (many) issues I have with my current one.
