I'm writing this from our hostel in Athens. It's definitely hostel-y, especially after the other places we've stayed at in Greece. I got chills when we were there! The moment I realized I was walking on the original stone pathway in front of the Bema seat, that he also walked on... whoa. I just got chills again. And then yesterday we were on this rock/hill near the Acropolis where they think Paul addressed an Athenian crowd (possibly from Acts 17, where they had built an altar to an unknown God) and that was just so amazing, because I've always loved that passage. Also, one thing that has impressed me here is that even at the museums, they do not say, "biblical myth suggests that Paul..." They say, "This is where the apostle Paul..." It's definitive - like they don't even dispute his existence or what the Bible says. So refreshing, even if I know they don't believe it!
