I do not belong in a world of broken pieces...

+ I think I'm allergic to winter. Okay, not really, but during winter I get frequent inexplicable sinus headaches that come and go as they please, and are usually without any other symptoms. Just another reason to be glad for resuming normal high temperatures tomorrow. We set a record low last night. I'm glad to be done with that for a while ( Read more... )

OH MY COW! I heard The Motions by Matthew West a few weeks ago and fell in love with it too!!! (Ask Charity LOL, I told her about it.) It is SUCH a good song one of my current favorites! I completely can see where you're coming from with the Backstreet Boys angle.

Isn't it gorgeous? I love it. I'd love it more if it were by the BSB though, hehe.

Everyone started wanting hip-hop instead. I like hip-hop, but gimme a pop power ballad laced with harmonies over that any day.

Totally off topic, but you always have such gorgeous/cool icons.

Doesn't she? The first thing I ever knew about her is that she makes beautiful icons. Now I love her for other reasons too. ;o)

I'm still contemplating trying to friend her.

Have fun on your photo shoot! I love anything vintage so this one sounds very exciting to me! :D

Sounds like you stumbled into quite the clothing bargain. Cashmere is the softest thing in the entire world to wear. And I own almost nothing of it, LoL!

Have you heard? Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman are touring together! They'll be passing through CS in April and I considered going. But it wouldn't be much fun going alone and none of my family or friends are interested. *sigh* They'll be amazing, I'm sure.

Thanks! I'm really excited about it. I hope they get the pictures finished and uploaded more quickly than they have the ones from my first shoot. Those aren't even up yet and it's been almost a month. I guess they're busy people ( ... )

I think they're nuts. But it's their prerogative to be nuts (we're not China yet) and while I think the parents should raise the kids, rather than their philosophy of the older kids raise the younger kids, Ken, Amanda and John said all the kids who were in E.S. with them were sweet, fun, and well-adjusted. Amanda, whom I guess you probably didn't get to know very well, but she is a crazy fun outgoing never-homeschooled college girl, became friends with some of the older girls when they were down there and so, clearly, if they can be friends with Amanda they can't be that sheltered. LOL. I know Sarah hated raising her younger siblings, but apparently these kids love it. I'm guessing it's because there was so much other negativity in Sarah's family that it permeated everything, but the Duggars are in a much better situation ( ... )

I wish I could find a good thrift store around here...I've been feeling the need to rotate my wardrobe for a few months now, but I hardly ever go shopping, and when I do, I usually don't find much that I really want or that I'm willing to pay the asking price for. I'm glad you were able to find all those steals though! The cashmere sounds especially lovely.

LOL! Yeah, it's hard to find new clothes when you hardly ever go shopping. ;o) 'Course now you have to find flowy tops and such to accommodate your growing belly. *smile* The town I grew up in had one good thrift store - or, at least, it was good for my (lack of) style at the time. Most of my clothes came from there - thrift store shopping has been my thing for a long time! Hehe. I think FL in general has good stores though, 'cause I used to find good stuff at the stores over on the Gulf when I went to school over there. Just another reason for you to come visit me someday. =o)

Of my stuff yesterday I'm most excited about the cashmere and the white dress. It's so cute!

Yes! I don't have many flowy tops but I love them. I was telling Stephen that I am not really sure how to go about shopping for clothes right now or if I should wait to go because, having never been pregnant before, I really don't know quite how my body is going to change. Buying tops won't be a big issue, but I think that buying skirts will be a little more tricky. Good thing I do have three skirts that just about fall off when I where them while I wait to see what happens to my belly, hehe.

You know, that's true. I didn't get off campus much when I was at PCC because I didn't have a car and because I was such an awesome student I couldn't bear to do anything that would interfere with my studies ;) but I was quite impressed with the selection of clothing stores in Pensacola. Of course, I grew up in an area where the nearest city was over four hours away and Pensacola is a decent-sized city, but yeah. If I'd had money and less focus, I could have probably found a lot of great stuff to take home with me! lol

Hmm. Could you just get some clingy, stretchy skirts? Then they would accommodate your belly without making all the fabric hang way out.
