Los vientos de cambio. (The winds of change.)

+ Well, it's official. Obama is now my president. It's a sad, sad day, no matter what the reporters who pee themselves whenever they speak his name tell you. I have already been praying for Obama, but I have decided to pray that that he lives up to his promises of change, and changes his own mind on all his policies. It can happen - look at Mitt ( Read more... )

Did you watch the benediction by Rev. Joseph Lowery? : 'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen.'

That shocked me.

No. I only watched the swearing in and a few minutes of Obama's speech. That was as much as I could take. Wow - I'm glad I turned it off before that. That is not only atrocious poetry-wise, it's ridiculously racist. Wow.

I'll actually be taking a Spanish class at FCCJ too, starting February 3rd. It's a 4 credit hr class and then I get to take another this summer.....all so I can get into UF. Which campus are you taking yours at?

Kent Campus. It's only like 2 miles from my house! I really like my teacher so far. His name is Olmes Corrales. He says he will teach us to roll our Rs, but I'm doubting he can teach me. I've already tried every trick there is! ;o)

I'm so glad you tried the milk. I was very impressed by it - I wish it were sold here.

That's good that Obama has revised his Iraq plans. All we can do now is pray.

That's great about the Spanish class; I'd love to learn French one day. I took two semesters of it in college, but barely remember it.

I've heard the ads for that milk and I was curious. I don't mind drinking regular 2%, though; also, my kids need it since they're little.

I know Beth could be potty trained, it's just that I don't have the time to dedicate to training her. :/

Mmmm, lasagna!

There's a ton of good stuff in the Smart Balance milk - Omega-3s and vitamins along with the normal milk stuff. It's great!

Well, it's the fat mostly that they need. Little kids' brains need all the extra fat when they're young (that's why kids from 1-2 need to drink whole milk).
