About that name thing, here's what I go by...

If it's sombody you just met, call them by what the introduce themselves as. If it's somebody you've known for awhile, they'll probably tell you when they want you to call them by their first name (I called Shelton/Stevens/Kate Shelton for years until she told me Kate really was acceptable now). When in doubt say whatever comes to mind first, you're probably overthinking the whole thing and they won't care one way or the other.

Or you could just do what i do... If idk what a person/parent etc wants to be called... I try to avoid names altogether... Hey...(look a the person) whats up etc etc.. or mumble it : ) hehehehehehehe Not actually sound techniques..

I would continue calling them mrs or mr if thats what you have been doing.. i believe its still the proper way if the age gap is large enough, I agree with allison, to call them by their first name just wait and see if they say hey call me jim or bob or sarah or jill.. (random names) If your close enough to them, just ask. If not just wait and keep goin how you go...

Just go with da flow and what works yo!

Great job with the drum sticks! : )

mmkay, for proffessionality within the workplace, ALWAYS refer to boss/supervisor as mr./mrs./ms.

as for the church thing...no clue on rules there, but i call all our pastors in our church by first name...lol
