Doctor Who fandom may have some idiots, but there's so many amazing people!

Still love that MdP coming back issue. Cause of everything you've said, it would be hilarious. And could you imagine some of the things people would try to come up with to cover for it?

Lol, well I used to on occasion send him links to fanfic by various authors, so I snuck mine in there too without telling him that I wrote it, then asked him what he thought. After several "I like it!!!" I sent him one that I really liked, and it turned out he really liked it too and even talked at length about the characterization in it, all on his own!! That's when I fessed up XD ... and he didn't believe me at first, that I wrote it!! XD

Still love that MdP coming back issue. Cause of everything you've said, it would be hilarious. And could you imagine some of the things people would try to come up with to cover for it?

I know!! It would be awesome!

Your answer to number 4 makes me smile. I'd take her as Reinette for all the reasons you mentioned, and I'd take her as a different character because while I hate that episode, I have nothing against Sophia. The only thing I wouldn't be cool with is some massive retcon, like the Doctor saying how much he loved her and missed her when she was gone (in which case I must call bullshit) or her being Ten and MdP's secret love child (which would not only be giving a tremendous finger to history, it would be Moff going back on his word about the 'no dancing').

I'll take five things, if it's not too much trouble. :)

See, after watching the 1996 movie, my fallback position in case anything happened like that would simply be "regeneration induced psychosis leading to fake memories" XD Like .. like .. why Eight thought he was half-human on his mother's side, why he forgot who he was, (and ostensibly why he tried to strangle Peri when he regenerated into Six).

I don't think he would though, because he's generally pretty consistent in his views on his head canon, and I'm not sure why he would change his mind now, kwim? He could have left it open ended at the time, because until he clarified things, even DWM ~danced~ around the issue a little bit in 2006. That DWM retrospective on GiTF came out only a few months ago, and they even quoted him about the 'dancing ( ... )
