Nagi hands Aya a small box. Inside there is a small, blue, square stone pendant and a note. The note explains that the charm is for placing on a pet's collar and is spelled for protection.

Nagi nods. "I remember how worried you were when she was really little. I'm sure Neko-san can handle herself a bit better now, but it still seemed like a good idea."

Definitely. They mean well but they can be such... boys sometimes.

Yay hugs! "You get a gift. I get a hug. It's a fair trade." Nagi grins because Aya-kun hugs are a bit tricky to earn.

I find all the hugging to be somewhat unnatural. It's getting to the point where every person I meet in the Nexus I wonder if they want a hug.
