I've never completely read all of "The Hobbit". Rather, it was read to me by Mrs. Palombo in the 4th grade. We also watched the animated movie. It had a big impact on my childhood imagination. oooh i can't wait to see that new gilliam movie!!! :D must see it! what i like is that it's not a book made to movie, comic made to movie, sequel, etc etc....

i, myself, am also trying to find something good to read but so far no luck with the three books i'm in the middle of. i two have two ursula le guin books tho that a friend lent to me. i could use a nice interesting story.

Ooo, that used to be my favorite pastime, going to the used bookstore to stock up on books to read. Though some of the places have closed down over time :(

I've heard of Half Price Books, but never been to one. I'll need to check out if there are any in the City or pop on over to Berkeley.

Me too, I never finished The Hobbit. Maybe I should pick it up and see if I can finish it before the movie comes out.
