[Psssh. All-nighters? What are those? Byakuran's lounging back on the couch as per usual, having grown bored at poking at the network.]

[Shouichi's about to greet him, but he realizes that he can't talk, even as he takes out a notepad, scribbling down furiously, loathing this curse day with the entirety of his being.]

Dear Byakuran-san,

Stop associating with Rokudou Mukuro. Please.

-Shouichi

[He takes a seat next to him, quite unceremoniously, and let's him see the pad.]

[Byakuran laughs, taking the pad and considering the note before flipping a page and writing down his own reply.]

Shou-chan,

It's not something I can stop.

[He passes it back.]

[Shouichi is far from amused by this, not when the words he'd exchanged with Mukuro still linger, despite his best intentions. The fear he has for his boss is real, and he frowns.]

Byakuran-san,

You can't keep engaging him, time and again. He might find a way to injure you if this goes on.

[Byakuran levels his gaze on him.]

Shou-chan,

Is that all you really wanted to tell me?

How disappointing.

[Shouichi looks back at him, feeling a faint trickle of fear down his spine, even as he forces himself to meet his gaze.]

Byakuran-san,

That's all, so far. I'm still working on my tasks. I'm sure you're already aware that Yamamoto Takeshi and Gokudera Hayato are here.

[Byakuran closes his eyes and writes a reply.]

What would Shou-chan suggest we do, then?

Let someone else deal with him. If information gets back to the Vongola, there may be a chance that we may be compromised.

I'll take care of it. We'll have to keep the allies who are most useful to us close.

As it is, the more we engage in combat with Rokudou Mukuro, the higher the chances of him being able to get more of a grasp on how we operate. He's learned enough from his stint in headquarters.
