You know, every time I put it on I think of the times we mingled the taste, how I licked your lips to take the flavor in.
It wasn’t much, but it made us happy nevertheless. Cherishing the little things, that’s what you always said. And we did, oh yes, we did.

Yesterday I threw the chapstick away. I can’t stand that happy-cherry-flavor anymore, not with you gone for good. I can’t stand the memories, hurting me again and again. Now I can no longer see your smile. All I see is your throat, bleeding, ripped open by these monsters … your sacrifice for my life.
“Be happy, for me,” you said.
But there is no happiness anymore. I found some chocolate the other day, but it tasted like dirt when I tried it. I know that it is supposed to be sweet, but it seems I’ll never taste anything again.
The cherry-flavor on your lips spoiled everything else for me it seems. So I’ll just wait until my time comes to kiss your lips again, bringing back our happiness.
