Drabbletag 5 - awe
“Just think of it,” Harmony says and puts a strand of Cordelia’s hair behind her ear. “You’ll never grow old, and you’ll have power! Real power, not that little beehive you rule in highschool.”
“Excuse me. If I remember correctly you were glad to belong to this cortege,” Cordelia replies and frowns a little.
“Oh, don’t get me wrong, of course I was,” Harmony grins and looks at the brunette. “Is that a wrinkle I see there?”
“Shut up,” Cordelia says but grins nevertheless. “But isn’t it very disgusting to live on … blood?”
“It’s the best thing you’ll ever taste,” the blonde breathes. “Come on … you’ll live forever, and you can be the queen of a new beehive, a better one. We’ll have the time of our life; our eternal life, technically speaking.”
Harmony knows she has the other girl when she sees the gleam in her friend’s eyes, her grin becoming wider.
“Okay, turn me,” Cordelia gives in and Harmony doesn’t waste another second.
At first it hurts, and Cordelia has to prevent herself from shoving the vampire away; not that she could, matter-of-factly.
But then she receives the sweet, thick blood of the other girl and feels her strength increasing, her body getting rid of any human flaw … and she loves it.
“Oh, I feel so good,” she says when her transformation is complete, looking around and taking in her surroundings in awe.
“So,” she says and takes Harmony’s hand, “who do we kill first?”
