Tonight as I was walking home a woman nearly hit me in the crosswalk at Orchard and Wrightwood. She must not have been paying attention, because as I jumped out of the way and turned around to scowl at her she realized what she had done and slammed on the brakes. woah... you definitely don't need to and in fact shouldn't feel guilty for embarrassing a woman who could have killed you! maybe she'll be more careful next time. What is it exactly that troubles you? That you may have hurt this person for no reason? And specifically that you can never go back and fix it? Milan Kundera in The Unbearable Lightness of Being talks a lot about the twin dangers of lightness and heaviness in life, and it seems as though you're way too stuck in the heaviness...

are you talking about yuki? you're right, nothing is ever really over. you actually have NO IDEA what's in store for you in the future. crazy huh? everyday is another chance to turn it all around.
