I think as long as I get to the interview ( Read more... )

Bitches! I'm sure Marco sent his in, but I haven't seen him lately because he was in Virginia over break. I'll ask him about it tomorrow or something. I talked to Hugh online today, and he sent his in too.

Ah yes... The waiting game. *twiddles thumbs* :D

how i got an osaka placement tetsuoxb November 30 2004, 15:57:45 UTC
Hey guys,

Just a quick note on how to get the placement you wanted. 1) Pray you wrote a great essay. Probably 2 late now. 2) Make sure you mention you have a fiance or something in Osaka. 3) ACE the interview. Placement preferences are determined by points. More points you score the higher the chances of getting your placement.

Oh, and Killian, there are like 7 Tokyo placements (I only know of 2 for sure, and one is on an island in Tokyo bay that takes a 3 hour ferry to get to the city) so you probably are 1) not gonna get it and 2) probably for the best. Ive heard the best placement strategy for getting a general area is to make sure all 3 requests are in the same region. If you spread them out, you could end up on Uoshima or some other tiny island because then they think it is more cherry picking than actual hard request.

Your wisdom in matters such as these is appreciated, JP. I figured the Tokyo placement was a long shot, but I was just tired of mulling over where I wanted to go. I think I wrote a good essay and everything, though. I guess we'll just have to see. At this point I just want a job...

Good luck dude.

I hope we all get accepted and end up in the same general area so we can tear shit up in Nihon.

Otherwise I'll just have to go on my own and somehow acquire the prototype Akira bike and scream obscenities at schoolgirls until I'm fired out of a cannon into the sun.

Oh and don't tell me they don't have a cannon like that. I've fucking SEEN it.

Ja,
