And the line continues

I received word over the weekend that I have at long last become a great-grandfather. Congratulations to you and your family. Such wonderful news! I'm pleased the arrival of the spiced orange wafers was so well timed, and I very much hope you enjoyed the other small items I included.

I'll have to send a gift basket to the fortunate new parents. I think Tyto is a fine name for a boy, though I'm sorry it wasn't your first choice.

I remember being absolutely thrilled when my first niece was born, so I can imagine how delighted you must be feeling now.

Yes, the wafers were quite refreshing. You have my gratitude. The candy was a bit sweet for my liking but I'm sure someone else will find use for it.

"Delighted" is not exactly the word I would use. I am... satisfied. I only hope the boy's mother will not spoil him, as today's Cohdopian women are wont to do.

You're very welcome, of course, Mr. Alba.

And I see. Then I'm pleased you're satisfied. I'm delighted for your sake! I have the addresses of your family members already, so I'll send the gift basket and a card as soon as possible.

I'm sure she'll make an excellent mother. My own siblings and siblings-in-law have all done wonderful jobs of raising their children so far.

Aiya! "Its mother insisted upon"? What the Hell is wrong with you? You disparage the third generation and the fourth in one swoop!

Names are important, pal! They really define a man.

Indeed, and for generations House Alba has prided itself on carefully choosing names for their strength of character and unique symbolism. Hopefully that tradition will not be abandoned permanently.
