alright, so. i'm attempting to plan out my portfolio and see what i am going to put in it. what i'm probably going to do is put in about 5 or 6 paintings, 2 or 3 drawings, a digital piece (if i can make one worthy enough in time), 2 or 3 photos, and a dread wig that would be considered a '3D' piece. so, all in all i think i'm set and i really don't ( Read more... )

i looked!

i think it's good to include the digital media piece. don't be embarrassed!

and- about having only a scan of some of the pieces, that should be okay. just be sure to print them off on good-quality paper. because i had to do two portfolios last year half of each portfolio were print outs from digital pictures i had taken of paintings i'd done. just consider that it should look fairly professional- you don't want to just throw together a whole bunch of crumpled pieces, you dig?

by the way - you got me thinking! remember the piece i painted for that stupid school art show last year at the mendel (the piece that took me 30h)? apparently they LOST IT!! what the shit!

I like the picture you took of hindmost too. I think you should put that one. The color pallette snd lighting is really unique. I thought you had a lot of really nice pics you showed me in that recent roll of shots you flipped through. Let me know if you want me to go through any to help you choose. You could even do a whole piece that is a compilation of portraits you took into one. You're good at that, naturally.
