R.I.P. FU???

Okay, so I don't really like the new Farin-Urlaub.de, it's kind of... boring and uninspired, not to mention not much different from before. I like some of the new Farin-pics, though - like my new icon. ;)

Anyway. There's lots of conspiracy theorie-fueling stuff on there, though.
Like this pic of Simone:

I don't really see the new layout as a 'new' one, but more of an updated version of the old one :\

Lol conspiracy XD It's like a bad "I Shot JR" shirt!

And I still and always will hate all things Flash

Not a big fan of Flash myself. But well, Auge seems to be... even back around '99 he always used Flash on the DÄ-pages. ;)

I just think it slows things down and isn't very userfriendly. There doesn't seem to be much point in it, it buggers up on a lot of browsers too.

I seen that 404 too. Maybe new lyrics, but he can't be funny ha-ha all the time :3 I dunno, maybe I understand a bit because of my job; its kind of like being typecast and it can kill creativity if you have to stick to the same genre over and over again.

Nah, I have no problems with him diversifying his lyrics. However, the last couple of years don't really feel like expanding his range of topics to me - more like dumbing it down and pointing at others. I just miss the careless Farin-Urlaub-fun. I realize he's getting older, too - but on stage he's perfectly capable of being funny and witty at the same time. Just not so much in his new(er) lyrics, often I get the feeling he's trying to hard to be serious - and failing.
Maybe it's just that I enjoy bashing FU(RT) way too much. XD

Zu 'nem Album mit Titel "Ewig" passt es irgendwie auch mehr... Maffay hin oder her. XD

Uhm, isn't that one of the T-shirts from the Porzellan video?

As for the lyrics, it feels like he's talking to me... T_T (Pretty much like "Nicht allein".)

You're right, there is a shirt like that in the Porzellan-video. The print is black on that one, though, plus I hadn't seen the video in a looong time. ;)

And... I don't like "Nicht Allein", either. Nor "Deine Schuld", Porzellan, Nichimgriff, etc. It's just that it's so easy for him to say that it's easy (or even possible) to change, if you're unhappy. Money doesn't make you happy, true enough - but it does facilitate a lot of stuff.

Well, for me it's more a matter of being coward, I mean, if I really wanted to change I could just resign, go abroad and look for something there. Instead I'd like to find something while I'm still here, so I can decide if it's worth it or not. And that must mean my current job isn't SO awful.

There is always this inner struggle: on the one hand I do want to change, on the other hand I'm afraid of changing because "What if it doesn't work out?"

And that's exactly what "Nicht allein" is about, isn't it? Damn you, Farin. *sigh*

Of course there's a lot of reluctance (or cowardice) in people who would want to change, but can't or won't for some reason or other.
It's just that I find it hypocrite of Farin to tell his fans that each and every one of us could be happy if we only tried harder. It's simply not true, because society just doesn't work like that. In order for people to have great jobs, there always have to be people who do the shitty ones, too. In order for people to be happy, there always have to be others working for those people's happiness, more often than not being desperately unhappy themselves. Welcome to capitalism and the Brave New World!

Yeah, I'm a cynic. ;)

So will I.
I mean, I'm sure there will be one or two funny songs on there. But... personally, I don't need another depressing AEDS-installment. ;)

That might be, because I tend to listen to sad songs when I'm happy and vice versa. I listen to a lot of happy stuff right now... ;)

What makes ya think it's FU written on that shirt? Couldn't it be "Gobi Todic"? .. it probably is FU, but no, I don't think that's funny at all! Oô
