NONONONONONO! DO NOT - I SAID DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO HILL END!

i've been.. it's horrible.. the only hotel is crooked (my aunt actually slipped out of bed in the middle of the night)

and unless you sleep entirely under the doona, you get covered in mosquito bites. not what you'd normally think is covered, i mean literally, every millimetre of your skin is welts.

the only thing to do is goldpan, which gets old after about 20 minutes.

it's hot, it's awful, it's boring, it's far away. it has a maudlin quality about it, it's unsuitable for a holiday destination.

You don't understand - that's the sort of thing that Minge loves. Old, boring and hot. We were forced to go to Old Mogo town and once again, gold panning was the only mildly interesting thing to do. Other than take photos of Tam sitting on an outhouse toilet.

Trust me, with that description of yours - she'll love it.

we're not going to stay there. We're going to drive for 2 hours one day to get there and spend the whole day complaining to Minge. then we're going to drive back to Dubbo and get drunk and watch movies.
Also - there's an old-Sydney-town sort of place in Dubbo. That will be the day when we spend only 15 minutes travelling but everyone will complain to me and Minge all day.
Also - I did some research on places to stay in Dubbo. There's this awesome looking house called blizzardfield, I think we ought to investigate costs. Otherwise there are a few other places I've got links to. I'll email everyone ...

yes ive been to Hill End. It's up there with most awful ever places.

as have i. It's pretty ok i guess, for a hot fly blown old mining town. I kinda liked it...but i'm not normal
