I'm in Las Vegas right now, waiting in line for the Muse gig later tonight. I drove all the way by myself! That wasn't really the plan when I bought the tickets back in December but 3 people bailing on me later and I was way too determined to see this show to let that stop me. But I shouldn't have gotten here so early, I don't think anyone's going

Fan culture is fascinating. One of my friends that's...actually about a month from graduating...made fandom culture her concentration within her major. I touched on it in regards to Western attraction to Japanese culture as well as Japanese attraction to shounen ai / boys' love.

I think that would be a really good idea though. Even as NOT a hardcore fan, I usually find myself Googling trying to find what's in the area of a particular venue in terms of food for after the show, what the layout of the venue is in terms of bar/lavatories, etc.
