[He'd said it before... well, of course he had, he would have, but it's still a shock to realize that he's broken a promise. He's silent for a long moment, following ideas. Just saying he's going to stay with Killua doesn't mean anything if he can't stop someone else from taking one of them away. But he's going to.

So there has to be another way to make sure he can keep the promise this time.

The easy one first... he looks up at Killua again.]

It's because this place takes people back home too, right? We're going to find the real way out before they can do that. To me or to you. And then we can go home together.

[He wasn't expecting Gon to drag him out when he was the one saying they were leaving, but he just catches up with the other boy.

He doesn't know how to say, "I just wanna spend as much time with you as I can" without sounding pathetic and embarrassing.]

[Gon isn't one to worry about pathetic and embarrassing. And he's worried that what he said didn't -- couldn't -- help enough.

So he's not going to let go of Killua's hand as they walk. They'll get out together, and until then, he's still here.]
