[When the feed turns on, Killua is holding a battered soccer ball to the screen.]

The weather's been great, so I thought it might be cool to play a game. Anybody know soccer? I've got two balls, so we can even play with both at the same time if you want more of a challenge. The stadium would be perfect.

[He kicks the ball lightly with his knee, ( Read more... )

this is how you have fun, let the games begin, cute when he shuts his big mouth, *event: stepford smiles, bait's got competition, forced into being nicer, *event, he's actually a little happy, ability to troll ... slipping, always up for playing a game, can be a good boy when he wants, smile for the camera

There are two teams, and each team's goal is get the ball into the other team's net, which is on the other end of the field. Each time you get the ball into the other team's goal, you score a point for your team, but you can't touch the ball with your hands. [He wiggles his empty fingers to illustrate before popping the ball up with his knee.] The only person who's allowed to do that is the goalie, the one person who protects each team's goal.

I want to if we won't get too sweaty!

[Definitely a bit affected. Of course, with Usagi, the changes are minimal.]

Maybe you can be a goalie or a sweeper then, so you don't have to run across the whole field!

[Oh so horribly affected.]

I could try as a goalie! [... And cringe away from every ball shot at her, but she'd try!]

Okay. How about you be my team's goalie?

[The valiant forward protects his beautiful goalie from evil soccer balls.]

It's a game! Two teams and a soccer ball. Each team tries to kick the ball into the opposite team's goal, which is on each end of the field. You're not allowed to touch the ball with your hands though.

Thanks. I can't wait. Usagi says together we might be able to round up enough people for a whole tournament!

[Clearly he should put it to good use once again!]

You've found a football! If you get a match going, I'll come and watch. I haven't played in ages.

I'm trying! If I get enough people, I'll let you know.

You could play too, if you want.

[She laughs a little at that. It's meant to be self-effacing, but it comes out sounding much warmer than that.]

At my age, I'm not sure I'd do either team any good. Although I'm still rather good at running, so we'll see.

It's a shame my son and his friends aren't here. I'm sure they'd love to play.

[Except, no, they wouldn't. Well, probably not. She's not sure Luke's ever kicked a football, unless it's been at school.]

You've got a son? [Normally, he wouldn't be interested. But it's polite, after all.]
