After flunking his driver's test several times in a row, Tsutsui was resigned to the bicycle he'd had since middle school. He was consoled by telling himself he needed the exercise. But as he stepped out from his office building, he winced up at the sky. His rain jacket would be feeble protection from the deluge.
The sound of a car stopping distracted him from his gloom. "Put the bike in the trunk, and I'll give you a ride," Kaga said.
"How do do you always show up when I least expect you?"
Shindo leaned on the edge of the balcony outside his hotel room, glad to escape the thickness of the air inside. It was still early but Akira always turned in early the night before a game. He was too worked up to sleep just yet.
Across the courtyard from him, there was a single spot of light.
A cigarette?
He was suddenly very aware that he was only wearing boxers and ducked inside, leaving the door open to encourage a draught.
“Hikaru?” came the sleep-fogged question.
“Just me,” he said, slipping into the opposite bed. “Go back to sleep, Akira.”
When Touya lets him into the apartment, his stomach twists. They have done this many times, but somehow letting him into his space - his - is more intimate than the sex. The sex is brilliant - warm and rough and perfect until Touya hears a squeak and has to get up to figure out what it was.
He wanders into the living room and spots the bright yellow bag near the half-open door. His stomach drops.
"Come back to bed," Yongha whispers in his ear, nibbling at it and reaching past him to shut it.
"OW!" Shindou exclaimed when the first stone hit him. "Quit it! GEEZ, Touya, that HURTS!"
"It should! SHINDOU!" Touya replied, grabbing another handful of shale. Shindou cried out under the rain of blows.
Isumi made to help him, but Waya grabbed his sleeve. Isumi turned and looked at him quizzically.
"Now might not be a good time," Waya said as Touya progressed from throwing go stones to grabbing Shindou's fan and hitting him with it. "He finally told Touya what we all think of his clothes."
"Oh." Isumi said. Then he turned toward the door. "Sushi today?"
Ogata couldn’t help but wonder if he should have agreed to the housewarming party Ashiwara had wanted. Not that he objected to the gifts or good wishes in principle - there was a stack of gifts building up in the bedroom - but it might have been sensible just to get it over with.
After Touya-sensei thanked him politely for the tea and excused himself, Ogata closed the door and sagged against it, revelling in the sudden quiet. The aerator in the fish tank bubbled quietly. Picking up the box of fish food, Ogata turned his attention to his less demanding guests.

Dazed, Touya does as he's told.
