Something bit me last night. Now my finger is all sore and the size of a fat sausage. It is also painful, red, and hurts to bend. You never know just how much you use your index finger until you can't.

You should get that looked at. When it happened to me, it was officially a "big deal" and I had to go to the hospital for IV antibiotics. Except I knew what bit me but that is the only difference.

if it doesn't get better today, I may do that. Right now it isn't quite as sore, or red. So, I will just keep an eye on it.
