I Was Chewing Gum For Something To Do...

Sooo......it's not like I'm just now finding out about Wilco. It's just that every 6 months or so I remember how fucking much I love them. As a firm fan of Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and Being There I was kind of suspicious of A Ghost Is Born. (I know I know, the indie-kid's inherent fear of anything new).  I've had the silly thing since it came out, but ( Read more... )

I distinctly remember waiting for REM to come on stage at Bumbershoot when this band named Wilco came out. I half expected the giant egg from their album cover to come out and hum at me and Henry. It was so awful that we risked not being able to get back in to see REM to leave and get a brownie and some milk at Larry's. It was a bomb brownie so I guess there will always be a special place in my heart for Wilco (in the hell/hate isle). We got back in for REM but not before our mutual anger caused us to slaughter some baby ducks.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY MARQUETTA!!!

I will say that Wilco is not for every lass and lady. I also will not fight you about it. Yelling "no you are a n00b they are sooo good" when you are yelling "no! you are a n00b they are so bad" is very silly. But brownies are yummy. Also, HAPPY V-DAY lovely lady.

I am wary of the Wilco for all of the whisper-thin girl-jeans wearing hair-curling slouching acoustic guitar playing moping types seem to enjoy.
