Selling It [part one of a two-shot]

"Don't."

"Don't... what?"

"The answer is yes.  Happy now?"

"Answer to what?"

"It's... three, I think.  Soon to be four."

Wilson shakes his head, frowns in confusion.  "House, I left my decoder ring home this week.  And I don't need an official Ex-Wives Tally today, if that's what this is.  I just got done writing out the monthly checks."

Oh, House. He wouldn't buy it if only you weren't such a convincing salesman.

*sigh*

Seriously, Kidsnurse. Well done.

*feels like kicking House*

When someone writes something about House and his ways and can make me feel like kicking him in the butt...they did the job right. =D

I like how you were true to their characters. Good stuff.

Re: wut Mare said
House is a convincing salesman cuz Wilson has continually bought it.

thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this. but poor house; he's in too much pain right now to withstand any kicking, you know! :)

Heh! I'm enough like House in lack of sympathy, that my kick might take his mind off his leg! hee
I took the House personality quiz. I dont' have his meanness or huge ego, though.

But, yeah...I did enjoy reading this. Mare's post tipped me off, which I'm glad of. *g*

Good point.
But there's that old saying, "What goes around, comes around. House should be feeling it, after what he dishes out.
*grins wickedly*

Don't get me wrong...I like House as much as anyone, but he's an ass and he gets it all back in the end. no pun intended
Yup things will, indeed, be rough on him.

The thing is, the few times House has tried in more straightforward ways to just talk to Wilson? It usually hasn't worked all that well, because Wilson can really be a jerk who simply does not listen. The most notable example was when House came back from the shooting and the ketamine, and the pain was returning and Wilson laughed when House tried to tell him about it.

So there's some kicking of butt that needs to happen on both sides here. I adore Wilson, but he has a dismal track record of refusing to accept the truth when House offers it. It's hard to blame House for hiding out in these games instead.

Too, true. At various times they DO both have it coming. It's like watching my parents sometimes.

I think I like House best because he's usually straight forward and Wilson is not. Too many games, though.

I'm glad all that drama is on the tv show and not in my home, because then I'd have to get mean again. LOL!

This packs a huge emotional punch in such a short story. Love.

What a way to come back--with this short powerful piece. House really is the master manipulator. It's so sad to see that even though he really didn't want to win *this* game, it didn't stop him from trying his hardest.

That's one thing about House, he can be full-tilt that way.
