You don't need to worry about rudeness when asking about things like that. I find the notion more amusing than anything.

Billiards is a type of sport. It involves lots of balls, a special table with pockets, and a 'cue', which is the long object I'm holding in the image I posted. Would you like an informational website on the sport?

Ah, well, I can never be sure is all. Some people don't much mind questions but others are rather put off by them.

Balls and pockets and a cue? Interesting. I've never heard of a sport that can be played on a table, only things like gobstones, or chess, or exploding snap.

No thanks about the website. I don't like the googlethingie at all, I'd just as soon learn things on my own.
