Swan Song was a doooozie! I actually didn't get the ending. And then the wiki told me. Parts of the finale were really upsetting. It was never going to end well

I think I was pleased with the finale. It was low-key, but then so's the whole series. The Chuck vanishing bit and Sam reappearing at the end totally threw me for a loop though!
Oh, and I almost wish they kept the shocking Castiel-Bobby deaths. That would've been brutal, but a lot more realistic than "Hey, I'm back because maybe God likes me?" Plus, it lessens the emotional impact if they bring them back 5 minutes later. Still, I love both those characters, so I'm okay with it.
Yea, I really liked the way the ending tied so many things together. I actually got really emotional. The Chuck thing I never saw coming, but after re-watching some key episodes and the beginning of the episode...it makes sense. I knew Sam had to come back somehow, but is he Sam or Lucifer?
Castiel's death was shocking!! Especially the manner in which it happened. I can see why they had to bring them both back so quickly. The story has to move forward. Poor Bobby and the Rugaru though. I'm already looking forward to spoilers for next season. It almost seems like Harry Potter, the way so many key characters in the series had to die (except for the God intervening elements).
I'm tempted to open up a twitter account to follow Misha Collins now. His tweets are actually really funny.
