Hello everyone~ I've come with a poll on the new Kiddy Grade series. Hopefully some of you will rise from the dead and answer. :D

Now, a question that's best answered in a comment: Do you think Kiddy Girl-and is an acceptable sequel series to Kiddy Grade? If not, do you think it has the potential to become one in the remaining episodes? Feel

I think Kiddy Girl-and has some serious issues with balance. One episode will be epic story telling but then the next will be completely pointless and very unfunny filler. I still enjoy it for what it is, but 13 episodes in and it still hasn't really held a candle to the original series.

Yeah.. I'm rewatching the original series bit by bit, and they really are in different classes. And yet, I do love Kiddy Girl-and as well. I'm hoping that maybe, now that Ascoeur and Q-feuille are more than apprentice ES members, things will pick up. There's still time, so I'm not giving up on it's chances at being awesome yet!

I recently rewatched the original series as well! So yeah, they're definitely on different levels. But I agree, I love Kiddy Girl-and as well. I'm just looking forward to a bit more srs!bzns stuff than the unfunny crack that seems to happy a littttttle too often.

I also kinda want Éclair and Lumiére to show up again. /fingers crossed.

Definitely! I was so happy during episode 9. I'd wanted that kind of action so badly. XD I think it has so much potential to be awesome and serious, so I hope it does so.

I'm sure they will! I think everybody misses them, lol. I'm betting on them returning either at the end of the series or in a few episodes. Hopefully the latter, cause I'd love to see them interact with Ascoeur and Q-feuille. ♥

I'm watching KGA more as a favor to the original series -- because in many respects, it really manages to annoy me. The most noticeable flaws can be found in the pacing and the tone -- both of which switch back-and-forth between happy-go-lucky comedy/ecchi moe-moe and seriousness towards the overarching plot.

There are series who can manage to weave together these contrasting styles, such as Elfen Lied. KGA, however, is most certainly not Elfen Lied.

As for Ascoeur.... well, the less said about her, the better.

You've got some good points. Admittedly, I'm probably one of the only ones who's enjoyed those aspects of it. I mean.. When it's a comedy or moe-moe, it's not really Kiddy Grade. But I still laughed and liked those parts. I like to think that things will pick up now that Ascoeur and Q-feuille have been promoted. We may get a more classic Kiddy Grade feel! And if we don't, well... I'll probably love it anyway, but I know many people will be mad, understandably.

My thought is they made it more silly since Ascoeur and Q-feuille were waitresses/apprentice ES members. Now that plot's coming in and they're not, maybe things will become more like what we saw in that old pilot from 07. Or not, but..you never know. xD;
