long time no see, LJ. so many things. the week before last was dominated by my COM midterm paper. no free time. at all. bollocks. but i had a nice relaxing weekend afterward. and last week wasn't too bad either. pretty much no work except a 4 page paper and studying for my psych exam, whose ass i probably kicked. and then there's this whole

i love you. tell me that jarhead is a good balance kinda movie and not propaganda from either side, please. i think i want to see it.

well, it leaned left a bit. there's a character in it that's always pointing out inconsistencies in policy and stuff and there's a few commentary scenes where they show unfair things. but the main purpose was showing how different the war was from other ones. it was showing how people were cut out of it in favor of bombing and air raids and not giving the soldiers a release for the aggrivating pressures of war. i'd say it's well worth seeing but not a "must-see" as everyone is making it out to be.

Vampire movies? Bad-ass. I'm going through a nice little vampire phase right now...bwa ha ha...you've been gone a super long time. I think I was at work the other day when I thought I saw you. I nearly pounced onto who I thought was you (because you've been AWOL) but I'm glad that I didn't. From behind, they looked exactly like you. When I saw their face, though, I'm glad I didn't pounce.
