Uh, do they look like that immediately, or do they sort of gradually appear until you start looking like you've been eaten by some kind of fatal alien virus?

Umm...

Actually, I think that's skin in the later stages of the measles, when the spots develop into the rash. In the earlier stages, they actually look like really bad acne (aka. red spots with grayish/white heads).

Koplik spots, I think is what they call them.

Well you probably just were near someone who had it, or who coughed or something. You know the measles virus can stay airborne for up to two hours.
