Nov 29, 2005 18:57

And so I'm finally connected after... probably five million attempts.
I haven't been able to update due to the uncooperative router and internet connection. The funnier thing is, that I still can't update/continue my previous post because I'm not using my laptop. I'm just squatting on my dad's computer just so I could check mail.Does anyone know ( Read more... )

Ako rin, mayroong WiFi. Kaya lang hindi sa amin. Sa kapitbahay. It's so fun to have a mac. Ang lakas ng detection sa mga WiFi. At wala ng ek-ek with settings and all that jazz. ang built-in na lahat ng kailangan.

I think mayroong nilalagay sa mga Windows laptops para maka-detect ng WiFi or something. For macs, it's called Airport Extreme Card. The router is called an Airport. If not, I think may different TCP/IP setting sa router na dapat compatible sa bawat computer sa house.

At kung lahat ng puwedeng gawin ay nagawa na, wala ka nang iba pang kailangan gawin kundi sisihin ang Patañaque. My God! Cell phones don't even work in Parañaque. Walang signal. Sana hindi ganoon ang WiFi router na nabili mo.

i'm sure hindi nakatulong ang mga sinabi ko. Feel ko lang mag-comment.

Hainaku. These are the few times when I don't like XP.

Haha. :) Cellphones work in Parañaque, depende lang sa area. Mahina ata ang Globe dito kumpara sa Smart. Pero sa lugar namin, malakas ang signal ng Globe. ^_^

router problems..... anonymous November 30 2005, 00:36:28 UTC
hmmm i suggest you go to 192.168.0.1 normally andun yung settings nun, it also depends on your net connection, normally if you have cable internet madali lang yung pag setup, pag DSL or dial-up (PPPoE) kailangan i setup mo ung account name & password dun mismo sa router

do u have a linksys? are u using an XP?

if yes, and u installed the program that came with the linksys, uninstall it. XP has it's own WiFi detector thingee.

if it still doesnt work..go to http://kb.linksys.com (using a computer that's connected to the net..obviously hehehe) there are answers to questions that have been asked by peopel who fix their own WiFi.
kung wala parin dun..(but i found answers there) call the toll free number on the box. hehe
Or ask a friend who knows how to fix it..that'd be easier for you :)

hassle magayos ng router shit. it took me about a week to figure everything out. well..i didn tdo it on my own. i called the tollfree number on the box and asked for help. hehehe tapos weird pa kasi like on the 2nd day, i finally got it to work with the technician's help tapos a few hours later, hindi nanaman..so i called again.

anyway, hope u get it fixed! it's soo muhc fun to be able to roam around the house and use the internet wherever you go!

thanks elainey bee.

yup, my router is linksys. i'll tell my cousin about the with-xp-you-don't-install-the-installer thing, and we'll see--we have to deliberate yet again, cause it's just too fucking tedious to go over it and screw the plan up again. man. i hate it.

if all else fails, i'll ring up a pro na. hainaku life. grrr.
