It seems like there has been a feel good Obama-related story ever fifteen minutes since he wrapped up the nomination.  Racists converted, random strangers helped, the list goes on.  This, however, struck me as very heart felt and life affirming

An excellent point outside of poltics and one of my biggest qualms with the way many "political movements" are handled. Too much fucking emphasis on courage and sacrifice - if it's the right thing to do, you jerkoffs, it should just be business as usual. I don't lynch black people and beat up queers because it's the right fucking thing to do, not because I'm I hero. This is not to say that you can't voice your opinion and project your normalcy - but for fuck's sake people need to separate their personal inadequacies and their socio-political beliefs. If you don't feel special, fuck you, keep it off the campaign trail.
