The beginning was always the hardest. The beginning of their journey as a trio, when they had to leave their home, the family that they knew… it had been hard, at first, caring for themselves.
And then, when she had begun to like him… the Avatar. She had started liking the Avatar. That had been hard, too.
But what made the hardships of the beginning worth it was the knowledge that, in the end, things would turn out for the best.
And that kiss was definitely the beginning of something wondrous for Katara and Aang…
