Hello everybody,

just had to cope with a minor shock... thanks to bad-day666 who read it in dani101's lj who read it at Ausiello. Nothing confirmed yet. And giving it a second thought I even think that it is old news. I guess the standoff took place some months ago and was the reason to let Gibbs grow more and more into the role of NCIS Director. I knew there was a good reason why I didn't like DPB!!No NCIS for me without Mark.Gibbs/and Kate:)/ is the reason that I watch NCIS!It doesn't matter how good actor is MW/and he is brilliant/,he just can't be the center on the show,because if he is the main chatracter, he has to become more serious,and some of the viewers will not like that change of his character.I just hope Don realises he how brilliant actor is Mark and what what a huge part is he of NCIS.
PS: If I shocked you,you shocked me too. I really don't like the sound of "Dirrector Gibbs "thing.:(

Hey Dani,

well I gotta admit, that I really like the other characters as well. But I think the show will sign its own death sentence with the character of Gibbs leaving. Also noticed that in one of this seasons episodes. It had not that much of Gibbs (I think it was Dead Man Walking) and I was just sitting there, truly considering to turn it off. And it made one thing as clear as crystall: Gibbs leaves, I'm following suit. None of the current characters has enough potential to keep me there. I would surely tune in every now and then but it wouldn't be as much a part of me as it is now. I want my Papa Smurf ;P

Wow, I must admit I was flabbergasted when I read that MH may be leaving! For me he is one true reason watching the show nowadays. And as you all said, should he leave - I leave. Cause even when I llke all the others there is seriously no character who could be the lead at the moment.
Funny thing is I never could stand DPB - I so despise that man. After all the things he did with JAG there is no way to like that man - period! And when he is trying to pull something similar - lord help us. Cause in that case there could come a Mini-Gibbs-alike *shudders* Just like there was a Mini-Harm on JAG (*points at Lt Vukovic*)....

Oh yeah, he put us through so much during JAG. Don't want him to do that again. I guess that is the point where I'm happy Kate isn't there anymore. Just imagine she'd be still around and we'd get some oz jerk who marries her instead of Gibbs *eeks* But I think there's a slight difference between DJE and MH. DJE was a lot younger and he was more or less just pushing his boundaries, testing how far he can go. I don't think MH would do that. If he really leaves, he actually is gone. He's done enough successful films and series in the past, he doesn't depend on NCIS as much as DJE depended on JAG. But for now... let's hope for the better...
