This makes me so sad. I'll never understand the people who are so against having healthcare for all.

If I'm sick, I go to the doctor. If my kids need to go to the doctor for anything, we go to the doctor.

In Ontario when a kid is born, they're given a birth certificate, and an OHIP card.

In America when a kid is born, they're given a birth certificate, and a bit of paper that allows them to work.

Uhhhh.

So confusing. :(

if we lose our insrance, i am screwed. with copays, i pay around $200 a month for my meds. without them? it will be in the thousands. and i am facing the real possibility of something severely wrong with my digestive tract. i have an endoscopy scheduled for friday and right now we are being quiet, but a real possibility is cancer. or a final dx of als. or something like that. there is a huge chance my husband will lose his job in april, and after that, we have 2 months of paid health insurance, then cobra, and if i do have something horribly wrong, we are lucky i have well off parents who will never let me go without health insurance. even now we can't afford our percentage copays, and are struggling to pay all of our bills.

sorry- i would go on, but crying brings on pain, and that i cannot deal with right now. we are trying to stay positive, and i woke up in pain today. not good.

Just one question. If the healthcare bill is so wonderful, how come so many unions are asking for exemptions for their members, and other corporations getting exemptions from it as well?

One other question, also if it's so wonderful, why did congress exempt themselves from it?

Because they have better insurance already.

I wonder how the Republicans can be all 'we hate socialized everything and we pay too much for poor people' and NOT realize how much not having easily accessable, inexepensive healthcare COSTS this country! The majority of our bankrupsies? Medical expense based.... and THEN what happens when people are bankrupt and poor? They go on State insurance.

We're so screwed up.

My dad rants about a gov't funded health care anything and is on Medicaid. o.O

The only healthcare anyone in my VERY RICH country has a RIGHT to is birth and death. WTF?

Hey... I dont know you... I am sorry to post here.
I was thinking about Simplyred and went to her journal and saw you there. Have you ever heard from Jodi? Do you know what happened to her?

Don't be sorry. I just wish I knew her last name, or Franks, or an email address, I've moved so much since she disappeared, I lost any contact info I had and with it, any chance of finding her again. (I'm usually good at that stuff.)

I knew her from Worlds Away. There is only one other person from my LJ that knew her from what I remember, and she doesn't know what happened either (evilshell if you want to double check, I haven't asked lately).

IF you find ANY information, please please let me know. At this point I'd pay one of those $15 for info people finder things if I thought it would help -- I miss her. :(
