Only TWO more chapters? On one hand, it's brilliant, I can't wait to see the final battle. On the other - heck, it's awful, knowing this is going to end...
If only Snape wasn't so afraid of rejection he'd see what is clearly in front of him, that Harry does really love him. But it's like he's so afraid of even thinking of accepting that potential reality that he's blinding himself.
I'm so wish washy but now I'm confident Snape survives. There's so much that hasn't been resolved yet. Only issue is Ginny.... Maybe Snape would share with a woman, if he knew he was the only special guy in Harry's life. I'd take that over Snape and Harry not being together at all.
Great chapter. Only two left! :O I'm so nervous. lol
Do you think Ginny is an issue? Interesting. See, I took the end of NoG as Harry realizing that he loves Ginny, but that he is IN love with Snape. And I presumed that, at the end of NoG, Harry was going to Ginny to tell her just that. I do think Harry loves her and has affection for her, but he's not in love with her. To me, it's all about Snape for him. I hope I'm right! I don't think Snape would be happy sharing him with anyone, male or female.
You are tearing my heart out! Only two more chapters... I can't wait to hear what Severus does/thinks next considering what Harry does next. And I refuse to believe he dies ...sob x
I love that you're not just repeating NoG word for word with only the added perspective of Snape. You give us extra scenes and information to fill in the gaps left from Harry's point-of-view in NoG. Plus extra sex scenes: can't argue with that. Where in NoG this chapter was left saying that they had sex into the night, this chapter of Invictus gives us extra details into what they got up to.
It's those added details that keep readers feeling like they are reading a whole new story rather than one they've read before. That is something unique about this pair of stories: we know the ending of NoG but we don't know it in Invictus. In NoG it's rather confirmed that Snape is dead, even though Harry (and us readers) don't believe it. Reading Invictus so far still hasn't given us a definitive answer. Sometimes it sounds like Snape plans to die and that keeps us interested in what the ending will turn out to be.
