Since I'm mostly only reading textile blogs currently (sorry if you've had anything important posted on your LJ, chances are rather likely Ive missed it. Not sure why I don't want to read LJ lately...but anyways...) I thought I'd post something textile related ( Read more... )

ok, i need a pattern and instructions for a kilt. Could your sexiness help me?

You take about 6 yards or so of fabric and you sew the pleats down to cover from about an inch of hte inside of your hip bone, around the backside and to the inside of the other hip bone. Have enough fabric on either end that you can make a part that overlaps infront, hip bone to hip bone (or just inside rahter). Pull it tight enough that it wont fall off and mark where you want buttons on either side. Put in a waist band, put in button holes and buttons, buy a sporran to where over it and your done.
